Description

  • Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders and recommend technology-enabled clinical solutions.
  • Analyze current-state hospital clinical workflows, identify inefficiencies and risks, and design future-state workflows.
  • Evaluate and support configurations across major EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Meditech, and athenahealth.
  • Work with laboratory and radiology information systems and their integration with the EHR to improve order entry, result reporting, imaging workflow, and turnaround time.
  • Act as a liaison among clinical stakeholders, IT engineering, MSP service delivery teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop training materials, conduct workflow walkthroughs, and support user adoption during change management efforts.
  • Support configuration, upgrades, maintenance, and implementation of clinical applications and workflows.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to client stakeholders and department leads.
  • Document current-state and future-state workflows, requirements, and recommendations for technical and clinical audiences.
  • Stay current on healthcare IT trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies and contribute to internal knowledge bases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, hospital operations, or a related role.
  • Clinical knowledge sufficient to credibly engage with physicians and clinical leaders in a consultative capacity.
  • Practical experience configuring and optimizing EHR clinical workflows on Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, or a comparable platform.
  • Strong understanding of hospital operations, including patient flow, order management, clinical workflows, documentation, and care coordination.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document workflows and requirements clearly.
  • Experience with LIS, RIS, PACS, or laboratory and radiology workflows is preferred.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE profiles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with multiple EHRs and healthcare data standards is preferred.
  • Experience in an MSP or consulting environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Meaningful Use/Promoting Interoperability, and CMS Conditions of Participation is preferred.
  • Home office setup with at least 8GB RAM, supported operating system, 5 Mbps upload/download internet, noise-canceling headset, smartphone with Microsoft Authenticator, HD webcam, and a second monitor.
  • Able to work full time, 40 hours per week, with normal business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST Monday through Friday and occasional shifts outside regular hours after training.
  • Able to pass online behavior and cognitive assessments.
  • Preferably hold at least 2 certifications from CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or 3cx Basic Certified Engineer.
  • Able to provide NBI Clearance for PH applicants.
