Description

Work with product managers to understand requirements for new location services features.
Build features using React and TypeScript.
Improve the front-end or back-end architecture to support higher velocity as the customer base grows.
Review code from other engineers and submit your own code through the pull-request deployment process.
Partner with product and design teams to define, document, and refine feature requirements.
Explain technical constraints to product designers and help shape feasible solutions.
Write clear, concise technical documentation to support your code and help teammates understand your work.
Test new technologies and contribute to discussions on improving the codebase and engineering practices.
Help nurture an engineering culture focused on code quality, speed, and shared ownership.
Support the team in delivering accurate, real-time location capabilities for first responders.

Requirements

At least 4 years of professional experience using React and TypeScript in production.
Experience shipping software at enterprise scale and releasing commercial software to enterprise customers.
Deep understanding of databases, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
Strong experience designing and building infrastructure for complex cloud-based software applications, preferably hosted in AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of or prior experience with microservices architecture.
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
Knowledge of web architecture concepts including HTTP and REST.
Comfort with agile development and thoroughly testing your own code.
Ability to write clear, concise code and intuitive documentation for a large, complex codebase.
Must be authorized to work in the country where the role is hired; visa sponsorship is not available.

Benefits

Target base annual salary range of $130,000 to $160,000.
