Description

  • Perform dynamic analysis of public and private internet APIs to uncover forensically valuable artifacts.
  • Use and customize instrumentation, debuggers, and automation tools to accelerate research and product development.
  • Translate research findings into proof-of-concept solutions and evolve them into maintainable product code.
  • Design and implement performant, maintainable, and testable production code with iterative delivery.
  • Document findings, create internal demos, and share knowledge through mentorship and technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with research, product, and customer teams to ship high-impact capabilities.
  • Analyze requirements, break down tasks, estimate effort, and adapt to changing business and customer needs.
  • Support peers through pair programming, code reviews, and mentoring.
  • Take ownership and accountability for projects through to completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C# .NET.
  • Ability to work in other languages as needed, including C, C++, Go, or Java.
  • Knowledge of internet client/server fundamentals, architecture, and APIs such as REST and GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of internet authentication and security protocols, including OAuth, TLS, and SSL.
  • Experience with Agile development practices and collaboration in distributed teams.
  • Proven track record of shipping clean, well-tested code in collaborative environments.
  • Experience with AI tooling such as Claude Code, Copilot, and agentic workflows.
  • Must reside in Canada.
  • Experience with cloud forensics tools such as AXIOM, Oxygen, or UFED Cloud is a plus.
  • Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or Frida is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cryptography concepts such as keychain/keystore, AES, and PGP is a plus.
  • Experience in internet data mining tools such as Playwright or Selenium is a plus.
  • Experience with API and IoT reverse engineering techniques is a plus.
  • Technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication experience is a plus.
