Description

  • Drive large-scale technical initiatives from concept through production, aligning architecture decisions with business goals.
  • Ship AI-native product experiences in collaboration with product, design, and AI teams.
  • Own the architecture of critical platform capabilities, including the AI-powered site builder pipeline and multi-tenant infrastructure.
  • Define engineering standards, review practices, and developer tooling across the organization.
  • Help evolve how AI agents integrate into the development workflow.
  • Mentor engineers, coach teams through complex design problems, and influence career growth.
  • Set technical patterns that other engineers follow across the platform.
  • Translate complex technical tradeoffs into decisions that support customer outcomes and long-term business value.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time in senior or staff-level roles.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
  • Experience designing and operating scalable microservice architectures in cloud-native environments, with AWS preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL, event-driven systems such as Kafka and SQS, and distributed databases including PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proven track record leading high-impact initiatives from concept through production in a SaaS environment.
  • Expert-level grasp of software design principles and multi-tenant platform architectures.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI daily, including using Claude Code as part of the workflow.
  • Strong opinions, loosely held, about how AI changes software architecture, team structure, and engineering culture.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly with product, design, and executive stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and speed within a fast-growing company.
  • Frontend experience with React, Tailwind, and Apollo is part of the stated tech stack.
  • Infrastructure experience with Kubernetes, Lambda, Temporal, Redis, and messaging systems like Kafka and SQS is part of the stated tech stack.
