Description

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for organic discovery and AI visibility across the platform.
  • Manage technical SEO foundations, including crawlability, indexation, rendering, internal linking, structured data, and page performance.
  • Create scalable defaults, automation, shared capabilities, and safeguards for recurring SEO issues.
  • Improve how client brands, listings, and expertise are represented and cited by AI assistants and answer engines.
  • Lead experimentation using representative site cohorts, incremental-impact analysis, and scalable measurement.
  • Own migration quality, acceptance criteria, regression prevention, and automated search-quality checks.
  • Partner with website platform teams to incorporate search requirements into new products and provide implementation standards.
  • Set and report platform-level goals for organic performance, AI visibility, and client outcomes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined SEO and product management experience, including 3+ years shipping products with engineering teams.
  • Experience owning search for a platform hosting many independent customer domains, such as a website builder, commerce platform, or franchise network.
  • Deep technical knowledge of JavaScript SEO, rendering, crawling, indexing, information architecture, structured data, page performance, and migrations.
  • Experience designing for website visitors, search crawlers, and AI agents.
  • Expertise in experimentation and measurement, including cohort testing, causal impact analysis, large-scale Search Console data, and log analysis.
  • Current understanding of AI search discovery, interpretation, citation, and visibility measurement.
  • Fluency using AI tools to investigate systems, establish ground truth, prototype solutions, and accelerate work.
  • Experience influencing teams without direct ownership and writing clear engineering requirements.
  • Preferred experience with platforms such as Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, WordPress, or Duda.
  • Preferred experience in programmatic SEO, local or entity search, conversion optimization, client-facing reporting, PropTech, or real estate.
