Description

  • Own and evolve the dbt project, ensuring models are performant, well-tested, and documented.
  • Design and maintain the Snowflake data warehouse and data ingestion processes.
  • Build core datasets using modern data modeling best practices for complex business logic.
  • Develop and maintain Python and Airflow pipelines that ingest third-party API data into Snowflake.
  • Design and operate cross-system reconciliation models to identify discrepancies and protect revenue.
  • Implement testing, observability, and CI/CD best practices across analytics pipelines.
  • Standardize metric definitions and ensure metrics are consistently computed across tools.
  • Investigate, document, and communicate data incidents from root cause analysis through remediation.
  • Serve as a data liaison across Engineering, GTM, and Finance to align instrumentation and metrics.
  • Design and maintain semantic views and measurement frameworks that support AI-powered tools and initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, or similar role in a SaaS environment.
  • Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, and modern data modeling best practices.
  • Proficiency in Python for pipeline development, API integrations, and automation.
  • Experience modeling Salesforce data including opportunities, contracts, subscriptions, cases, and field history.
  • Experience building custom ELT pipelines from third-party APIs into a cloud data warehouse.
  • Experience designing cross-system reconciliation models across multiple source systems.
  • Experience working with event-based and product usage data such as Posthog or Mixpanel.
  • Experience connecting marketing data to product analytics, ideally end-to-end from ad platforms to conversion and retention metrics.
  • Experience designing and maintaining semantic layers such as dbt Semantic Layer or Snowflake Cortex.
  • Comfort with large-scale data systems such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Strong familiarity with CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and automated testing.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, analysts, and product managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics to drive decisions in a technical or product-focused environment.
  • Comfort taking ownership of ambiguous problems and designing end-to-end solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining Airflow DAGs and multi-source API ingestion pipelines (nice to have).
  • Strong foundation in statistics and experiment design, including A/B testing and significance testing (nice to have).
  • Experience with predictive modeling fundamentals such as classification, feature selection, and model evaluation (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with financial SaaS metrics and billing operations, including ARR/MRR/NRR and revenue recognition (nice to have).
  • Experience with people analytics such as headcount, attrition, and compensation benchmarking (nice to have).
