Description

  • Own and maintain financial models for the Commercial and International businesses using current account-level data.
  • Lead monthly actuals, budget and forecast updates, variance analysis, and issue resolution with Accounting.
  • Build channel- and account-level profitability reporting covering gross margin, trade spend, chargebacks, deductions, and contribution margin.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to set, monitor, and manage budgets, including identifying overages and reallocation opportunities.
  • Develop business cases for new channels, retail partners, geographic markets, and products, including market sizing, margin, and breakeven analysis.
  • Evaluate new and renewing partner agreements and support commercial negotiations.
  • Track post-launch performance against business cases and recommend whether to scale, adjust, or exit opportunities.
  • Support cash flow, working capital, receivables, payment-term, and inventory forecasting.
  • Improve the 13-week cash flow forecast and assess commercial inventory impacts on purchasing, margin, and cash flow.
  • Translate financial analysis into executive-ready presentations and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance within eCommerce, CPG, retail, or direct-to-consumer businesses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including building driver-based models from scratch and creating executive-ready presentations.
  • Hands-on experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes.
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and connections between the three financial statements.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and convert analysis into business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and using financial analysis to influence decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to structure ambiguous business questions.
  • High attention to detail, ownership of accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: wholesale or retail financial modeling, inventory planning, SQL or BI tools such as Snowflake, Looker, or Lightdash, and AI tools for reporting and analysis; must be located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or remote PST, or willing to work hybrid from NYC three days per week.
