Description

  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for UI and backend components.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, negative, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
  • Validate backend functionality through API testing, microservices testing, workflow verification, and data integrity checks.
  • Lead structured exploratory testing sessions to identify edge cases, usability issues, and high-risk defects.
  • Review user stories and acceptance criteria to improve clarity, completeness, and testability before development starts.
  • Apply risk-based testing to prioritize critical functionality, complex integrations, and high-impact failure areas.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify requirement gaps early and improve product quality.
  • Document, track, and support defect resolution with clear reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behavior, and evidence.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, test coverage, and release readiness or go/no-go discussions.
  • Maintain test progress, results, and coverage documentation, and contribute to QA process improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on QA experience in manual testing across UI and backend systems.
  • Strong test planning, test design, and test execution skills.
  • Experience with functional, regression, smoke, negative, and exploratory testing.
  • Hands-on API/backend testing experience, preferably using Postman.
  • Working knowledge of basic SQL and data validation.
  • Experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira.
  • Ability to contribute to test coverage discussions, test estimation, and release readiness or go/no-go recommendations.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; strong relevant QA experience may be considered instead.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Nightwatch, or Selenium is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitLab is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Java or JavaScript is a plus.
