Description

  • Design, build, and deploy cloud-based data pipelines that ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
  • Design, configure, and manage SQL and NoSQL databases for performance and reliability.
  • Develop data models and optimize queries, indexing, and database performance.
  • Integrate and transform data from multiple sources using ETL and ELT approaches.
  • Orchestrate and schedule data workflows using tools such as Airflow.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Lead client discussions to identify and assess opportunities for improvement.
  • Work effectively with multinational and distributed teams using tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Evaluate and learn new technologies and data solutions.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer working with GCP cloud infrastructure and systems.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud computing services.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases, including BigQuery, and NoSQL systems.
  • Experience with data modeling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with ETL and ELT techniques and modern transformation tools such as dbt or Dataform.
  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration and scheduling tools; Airflow is required.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in multinational environments and distributed teams.
  • Preferred: cloud or big data certifications, BI tools, Talend or Alteryx, Apache Spark, Databricks, or Azure infrastructure experience.
