Description

  • Build data pipelines that ingest data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
  • Integrate, transform, and clean structured and unstructured data for target data models.
  • Design and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed file systems.
  • Implement data models that support efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Improve system performance through partitioning, compression, indexing, query tuning, caching, and bottleneck resolution.
  • Develop scalable Azure-based data processing systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Own solution delivery independently within Agile and Scrum teams.
  • Train and mentor junior data engineers.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in a similar data engineering role.
  • Strong Databricks and Apache Spark expertise.
  • Strong data programming and data engineering software development experience.
  • Experience with Azure services and Azure-based data processing systems.
  • Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data lakes, data warehouses, or distributed file systems.
  • Knowledge of data processing architecture and CI/CD automation.
  • Technical leadership capability.
  • Familiarity with GenAI applications for data engineering.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies and with tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong communication skills; familiarity with other cloud technologies, data governance, and business analysis is preferred.
