Description

  • Provision and maintain DEV, QA, UAT, and production Snowflake and Azure environments across the end-to-end data stack.
  • Manage Azure networking, private connectivity, Key Vault, self-hosted DevOps agents, VM infrastructure, and related security dependencies.
  • Design and administer Snowflake RBAC, service-account lifecycles, credential rotation, and access validation.
  • Build and operate Azure DevOps YAML-based CI/CD pipelines for data transformations, replication configurations, Snowflake objects, and metric definitions.
  • Enforce controlled multi-environment deployments with branch policies, automated validation, approval gates, security scanning, and rehearsed rollback procedures.
  • Implement end-to-end monitoring, alerting, logging, and ITSM escalation for replication, CDC lag, Snowflake freshness, schema drift, and platform health.
  • Own Snowflake and Azure cost attribution, budget monitoring, right-sizing reviews, and FinOps reporting by workload class.
  • Manage Azure and Snowflake infrastructure through Terraform or Bicep, remote state management, and policy guardrails.
  • Maintain architecture decisions, operational documentation, and tested runbooks for platform operations, incidents, recovery, access, and deployment processes.
  • Lead progressive knowledge transfer and serve as the client-facing platform operations contact across delivery, DataOps, cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security teams.

Requirements

  • Hands-on DataOps or platform engineering experience supporting production cloud data platforms from provisioning through operational handoff.
  • Strong Azure DevOps Pipelines experience using YAML, Git workflows, branch policies, approval gates, automated testing, and multi-environment promotion paths.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Private Link/Endpoints, Key Vault, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Cost Management.
  • Hands-on Terraform experience, including Azure Blob Storage remote state management, Snowflake Terraform provider, and IaC security scanning.
  • Snowflake experience with RBAC, warehouse sizing and segregation, resource monitors, row-access policies, and dynamic data masking; Enterprise or Business Critical experience preferred.
  • Experience operating and monitoring production CDC replication pipelines, including lag alerts, recovery procedures, and landing-layer schema-drift detection.
  • Experience managing credentials through Azure Key Vault, with documented rotation processes and no plaintext secrets in code or pipeline definitions.
  • Experience integrating code, dependency, and IaC scanning into CI/CD pipelines and applying least-privilege and audit-logging practices in regulated or sensitive-data environments.
  • Experience owning FinOps attribution, budget alerts, and platform right-sizing reviews.
  • Fluent English at B2+ level for client-facing platform operations communication.
  • Hands-on Qlik Replicate, Azure SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, ExpressRoute, Entra ID PIM, Power BI, dbt, or financial-services environment experience is preferred.
