Description

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
  • Use AI Copilot tools to accelerate development and automate data engineering tasks.
  • Implement and manage Lakehouse architectures and unified data environments.
  • Integrate structured, semi-structured, and streaming data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data pipelines.
  • Optimize data workload performance and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to data modeling, metadata management, lineage tracking, CI/CD, testing, and deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote data engineering and AI-assisted development best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse, Synapse, or equivalent components.
  • Experience using AI Copilot tools, such as GitHub Copilot or Azure AI Copilot, in development workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Scala.
  • Strong SQL and large-scale data processing experience.
  • Experience with Spark and distributed data systems.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
  • Familiarity with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake.
  • Experience with data governance, security, compliance frameworks, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Git.
  • Experience with streaming processing, MLOps and machine learning pipeline integration, Power BI or other visualization tools, and enterprise data platform modernization programs.
