Description

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers while building a culture of technical excellence and career growth.
  • Partner with the Product Manager and UX Designer to define, manage, and execute the roadmap for your domain.
  • Translate product goals into functional designs and act as a key technical voice in ideation and planning.
  • Own architectural decisions for the domain and design and scope complex features with a long-term perspective.
  • Serve as the first line of contact for escalations and shield engineers from interruptions.
  • Build knowledge of related teams' repositories and capabilities and advise on shared developments.
  • Facilitate team processes, absorb planning complexity, and ensure the team has the context needed to deliver.
  • Make small hands-on engineering contributions to stay close to the day-to-day work.
  • Use AI to streamline processes, accelerate product ideation, and improve outcomes.
  • Set standards for responsible use of AI-assisted development tools in the team workflow.

Requirements

  • Experience managing engineering teams and a strong background in coaching and mentoring.
  • Deep hands-on backend development experience, including designing and building scalable APIs, services, and product systems.
  • Ability to break down large architectural projects into clear, manageable tasks.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to inspire a positive team culture.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to optimize processes, speed up product exploration, and support modern software architecture.
  • Professional proficiency in Python, with solid experience in Django or professional experience in GoLang.
  • Fluency in English and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, React, or Ember (preferred).
  • Experience in data-heavy product domains or hospitality technology (preferred).
