Description

  • Ship end-to-end features across backend services, APIs, iOS, and Android applications.
  • Build reliable, performant, and accessible experiences for consumer-scale users.
  • Use AI tools and agentic workflows for specification, coding, testing, review, and documentation.
  • Define AI-Native engineering practices and publish playbooks adopted by the broader Verticals organization.
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers to turn user problems into scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Own features through production, on-call support, incident response, and member outcomes.
  • Mentor teammates and help accelerate adoption of AI-native workflows.
  • Adapt Aging in Place services and patterns for future Things and Pets verticals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating high-quality, consumer-scale services.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
  • Full-stack proficiency across backend services and native iOS and/or Android development.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Java, Kafka, Kafka Streams, AWS, Swift, and/or Kotlin.
  • Deep knowledge of agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context-window management, and MCP/function calling.
  • Professional experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for substantive development work.
  • Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Empathy for aging adults, families, and the people served by the product.

  • US salary range of $118,500–$216,500 USD; Canada salary range of $171,500–$201,000 CAD.
