Description

  • Build and ship production software for AI-powered insurance systems.
  • Design scalable, reliable backend solutions and large data pipelines.
  • Work with NLP, firmographic data, entity resolution, and machine learning systems.
  • Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers globally.
  • Apply system design, debugging, and problem-solving skills to complex technical challenges.
  • Own projects from conception through completion with limited oversight.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, surface blockers, and provide project updates.
  • Improve system quality through rapid iteration, experimentation, and feedback.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with comfort using Python; strong object-oriented programming backgrounds are also considered.
  • Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving.
  • Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud environments, serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, and asynchronous workflows.
  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to transparency and direct feedback.
  • Interest in AI, data, and real-world machine learning applications.
  • Ability to move quickly, learn continuously, and maintain high quality standards.
