Description

  • Lead the end-to-end financial reporting function, including internal and external reporting processes.
  • Oversee preparation and review of SEC filings such as Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
  • Prepare investor communications, including press releases, investor presentations, and conference materials.
  • Own GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and tie-out binders in compliance with SOX controls.
  • Manage month-end close activities for technical accounting areas, including internally developed software capitalization.
  • Review and draft technical accounting memorandums and provide guidance on U.S. GAAP matters.
  • Update internal control documentation and support the company’s SOX compliance efforts.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage audit requests and open items.
  • Partner with Legal, Accounting, Tax, Strategic Finance, and Investor Relations on reporting matters.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of four accounting professionals, including two direct reports.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant financial reporting experience, with Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA or a similar professional designation is required.
  • 4+ years of people management experience with a demonstrated ability to develop talent and build high-performing teams.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and SOX 404, with experience performing and reviewing technical research.
  • Proven experience leading SEC filing preparation for 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports at a public company.
  • Experience managing quarter-end close processes at a public company.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional dependencies simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Workiva is required; experience with NetSuite and SOX compliance is a plus.
  • Curiosity about LLMs and willingness to use tools like Claude or ChatGPT, with interest in building an AI-native finance function.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional finance context is a nice to have.
