Description

  • Design and implement dimensional and relational data models for analytical use cases across multiple business functions.
  • Build and maintain dbt transformation pipelines with a focus on data quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Own curated Silver and Gold datasets, ensuring traceability from raw data to business-ready outputs.
  • Partner with data engineering to build and maintain Databricks pipelines and Delta Lake tables.
  • Collaborate with analysts, product analytics, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate requirements into durable data products.
  • Implement data quality tests, monitoring, SLAs, and alerting for critical datasets.
  • Create tools, skills, and agents that improve LLM development support and code generation workflows.
  • Define and enforce data contracts to maintain schema stability and reduce downstream breakage.
  • Establish analytics engineering best practices around version control, code review, testing, and documentation.
  • Build well-documented data marts and semantic layers that enable self-service analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or similar enterprise-scale data roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership of data products and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience using AI/LLM coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Expert-level SQL skills with strong query optimization and performance tuning knowledge.
  • Extensive experience with dbt, including testing, documentation, and package management.
  • Strong Python programming skills for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, one big table, and related methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks, including SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
  • Experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift is a plus.
  • Familiarity with orchestration frameworks and analytics workflow scheduling.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD for analytics code.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate requirements into data models.
  • Prior experience with advertising, ad tech, or media data is preferred.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
