Description

  • Design and implement dimensional and relational data models for Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance analytics use cases.
  • Build and maintain scalable dbt transformation pipelines from raw ingestion to business-ready outputs.
  • Own the transformation and modeling of curated Silver and Gold datasets with clear contracts and traceability.
  • Partner with analysts, product analytics, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into durable data products.
  • Implement data quality tests, monitoring, SLAs, and alerting for critical analytical datasets.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to define and enforce data contracts and minimize downstream breakage.
  • Establish and promote analytics engineering best practices, including version control, code review, testing, and documentation.
  • Build intuitive data marts and semantic layers that support self-service analytics.
  • Enhance LLM development support by creating tools, skills, and agents that improve code generation, debugging, and system maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or a similar role working with enterprise-scale data.
  • Expert-level SQL skills with strong query optimization and performance tuning experience.
  • Extensive experience with dbt, including testing, documentation, and package management.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, automation, and custom analytics workflows.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, one big table, and related methodologies.
  • Experience with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks SQL Warehouse.
  • Familiarity with orchestration frameworks and scheduled analytics workflows.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD for analytics code.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business requirements into well-designed data models.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with AI / LLM tooling such as Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, or Codex is expected in this AI-native environment.
