Description

  • Own engagement success by executing contractual deliverables, documentation, and providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Develop and evolve delivery strategy in collaboration with Liatrio leadership, internal teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding technical and methodological best practices and advocating for DevOps cultural transformation.
  • Architect solutions and solve complex engineering challenges while collaborating with both Liatrio and customer engineering teams.
  • Maintain regular customer communications including weekly/monthly updates, executive summaries, surveys, stakeholder check-ins, and outcome measurements.
  • Manage engagement financials and operations, including resource forecasting, invoice accuracy, and timely submissions.
  • Lead and develop the assigned team (typically 4–10 direct reports and additional second-line reports) through coaching, 1:1s, formal feedback, and career development support.
  • Own staffing and resource planning: map team capabilities to client needs, advise on hiring/onboarding/rotations, and balance delivery hours with internal initiatives.
  • Support business growth by identifying expansion opportunities, validating SOWs, and contributing to Liatrio IP, accelerators, and community-building efforts.
  • Ensure team accountability for time tracking, alignment with contractual obligations, and early intervention when team members struggle.

Requirements

  • Recent experience in a senior delivery or account leadership role such as Account Principal, Delivery Principal, Engineering Director, Consulting Director, or VP of Engineering.
  • Proven experience leading DevOps transformations and acting as a hands-on, client-facing trusted advisor.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, typically 4–10 direct reports and potential second-line reports up to ~8–10.
  • Practical familiarity with CI/CD and build systems such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Istio).
  • Working knowledge of major cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and observability tooling (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Datadog, Zipkin).
  • Comfort reviewing application code and collaborating with engineers across the SDLC; strong communication and coaching skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship and available to travel to client sites (typically 8–12 times per year up to a few times per month).
