Description

  • Design and ship multimodal data pipelines for ingesting, validating, sharding, and packaging training data.
  • Build reproducible training and evaluation workflows, including manifests, checkpoints, and failure handling.
  • Implement and iterate on LLM, VLM, and VLA model architectures.
  • Own model code paths, tokenization, inference runners, and output heads for downstream consumers.
  • Integrate simulators for closed-loop evaluation and build tooling for metrics, visualization, and experiment management.
  • Deliver production-grade serving and inference tooling for deterministic, low-latency deployment on bench/mule systems and future vehicles.
  • Own systems end to end from architecture and implementation through testing, documentation, and iteration.
  • Improve code quality, reliability, and observability across the platform.

Requirements

  • MS in Computer Science, ML, or Robotics, or a BS plus 2+ years building ML, data, or evaluation systems.
  • Strong Python fundamentals, including data structures, testing, debugging, and modular design.
  • Track record of shipping production-quality code, APIs, and reliable automation.
  • Experience building data/ML pipelines and evaluation tooling.
  • Experience integrating training and inference with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
  • Experience with dataset packaging, sharding, manifest formats, and integrity checks for large multimodal datasets.
  • Practical experience improving training or inference throughput and latency, including mixed precision, efficient batching, or model parallelism.
  • Experience with cloud storage, training workflows, containerization, CI/CD, and experiment observability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a small, fast-moving team.
  • Prior work on perception, detection, or multimodal models is a plus.
