Description

  • Lead curriculum reviews, annual training reviews, and courseware development meetings for GEODSS operations and maintenance.
  • Attend operational briefings, mission planning sessions, safety meetings, readiness reviews, and intelligence briefings.
  • Research emerging threats, operational trends, and mission requirements to improve GEODSS training programs.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide training for optical sensor operations, maintenance, system administration, and mission support.
  • Create and maintain courseware, lesson plans, qualification training packages, practical exercises, evaluations, and certification programs.
  • Design and deliver advanced instruction on optical sensor operations, Space Domain Awareness, cislunar operations, adversary maneuvering, and evolving mission sets.
  • Build and run readiness exercises and scenario-based training events across Operations, Maintenance, System Administration, Supply, Security, and Facility functions.
  • Review and update procedures, checklists, technical guidance, and training materials to improve mission effectiveness and standardization.
  • Manage knowledge management deliverables such as job aids, training videos, lessons learned, case studies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead maintenance training and IMDS compliance efforts, including troubleshooting guides and maintenance documentation procedures.
  • Brief senior leadership on training effectiveness, readiness trends, operational risks, and program improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of operational, maintenance, training, or management experience supporting Space Domain Awareness, optical surveillance, space operations, or related mission areas.
  • Experience operating, maintaining, supporting, or training personnel on electro-optical sensor systems, telescope-based surveillance systems, Space Domain Awareness systems, or comparable Department of Defense mission systems.
  • Experience developing and delivering military or government training programs, including courseware, lesson plans, examinations, assessments, qualification training, and certification programs.
  • Experience developing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), operational exercises, and scenario-based training.
  • Experience with maintenance documentation systems such as IMDS, ETIMS, or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Experience supporting geographically separated units and enterprise-wide training programs.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent military/industry experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Active Secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility required.
  • Remote work with periodic travel to GEODSS operational sites and Government locations as required.
  • Preferred: 5 or more years supporting GEODSS operations, maintenance, training, system administration, or program management.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting Space Force, Air Force, USSPACECOM, CSpOC, Space Operations Command, or related organizations.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting cislunar operations, deep space surveillance, missile warning, missile defense, or Space Domain Awareness missions.
  • Preferred: Prior experience as a GEODSS Operator, Maintainer, Site Manager, Knowledge & Training Manager, Operations Supervisor, or Program Manager.
