Description

  • Lead the full lifecycle of math implementation work from strategic launch through measurable impact across multiple schools.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to district leaders while translating district priorities into actionable project plans.
  • Provide hands-on instructional coaching to teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators in weekly school-based visits.
  • Design and facilitate professional learning cycles that strengthen K-8 math instruction and support curriculum implementation.
  • Use student work analysis, classroom observation, and collaborative learning cycles to improve instructional practice.
  • Monitor implementation progress, assess risks, and adjust strategies using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with school and district leaders to support honest problem-solving and accountability.
  • Develop the instructional leadership capacity of others through coaching, feedback, and mentoring.
  • Manage staff or team members to ensure quality execution and continuous improvement.
  • Support alignment to Illustrative Mathematics and evidence-based instructional practices, including attention to California ELD Standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in education, instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, or district-level instructional support.
  • Deep expertise in K-8 mathematics instruction, coaching, and instructional leadership.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Illustrative Mathematics and California ELD Standards.
  • Proven experience leading complex implementation efforts across multiple schools or at the district level with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience designing and facilitating standards-aligned professional learning that changes teacher practice.
  • Experience providing instructional coaching to school or district leaders.
  • Experience serving as a primary client or partner relationship owner in a district or multi-school context.
  • Experience translating strategy into actionable project plans with milestones, sequencing, and accountability.
  • Experience managing and developing staff or team members.
  • Practitioner-level AI fluency and comfort using systems to track, monitor, and communicate coaching and implementation progress.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $103,649 to $140,231 per year.
  • Standard starting salary of $121,940 based on meeting the minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Starting salary may increase up to $129,779 for candidates with more than 8 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Geographic multiplier applied based on where you reside in California.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for individual employees.
  • Employer contribution of 60% toward partner and dependent medical, dental, and vision premiums.
  • 4% matching 401(k) plan.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses, plus an Employee Assistance Program.
