Description

  • Own end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment execution, invoicing, collections, and revenue tracking.
  • Manage payment cycles across traditional rails and on-chain payment methods, including fiat, stablecoin, and native token settlements.
  • Maintain vendor and contractor records and ensure W-9/W-8 compliance and 1099 readiness.
  • Own expense management and approval workflows across departments and enforce AP/AR policies, payment terms, and escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors on transactional data, supporting documentation, month-end close inputs, and audit readiness.
  • Own full-stack reconciliation across bank accounts, custodians, payment processors, and hot/warm/cold wallets.
  • Build and maintain real-time reconciliation frameworks using internal ledgers, blockchain data, node/API/indexer sources, and other fragmented data environments.
  • Manage treasury and liquidity operations across fiat rails, off-ramps, on-chain transfers, multi-chain movement, gas optimization, and bridging.
  • Develop treasury management strategy and partner with leadership on capital efficiency and deployment decisions.
  • Design and implement scalable financial operations infrastructure, transaction lifecycle tracking systems, and automated reporting and alerting.
  • Evaluate and deploy crypto accounting tools, wallet infrastructure, and treasury management systems.
  • Build audit-grade financial records and implement internal controls aligned with institutional and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a cross-functional bridge between Finance, Engineering, Product, and Compliance to translate blockchain activity into financial and operational insights.
  • Help define Veda’s financial infrastructure roadmap.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in financial operations, treasury, or accounting within crypto, DeFi, fintech, or institutional finance.
  • Crypto accounting experience is required.
  • Auditor experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of blockchain mechanics, including transactions, gas, confirmations, and re-orgs.
  • Knowledge of wallet architecture, including custodial and non-custodial setups, multisig, and MPC.
  • Understanding of DeFi primitives such as AMMs, lending protocols, staking, and derivatives.
  • Proven experience building reconciliation systems across fragmented data environments.
  • Experience creating operational processes in ambiguous, high-growth settings.
  • Strong analytical toolkit with advanced Excel or Sheets, AI financial tools, and SQL.
  • Demonstrated ownership of mission-critical financial processes.
  • Experience with on-chain analytics tools such as Dune, Nansen, or Flipside is preferred.
  • Experience with crypto accounting platforms such as Tres Finance, Bitwave, Ledgible, or TaxBit is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP tools such as QuickBooks is preferred.
  • Exposure to institutional custody solutions is preferred.
  • CPA or a strong accounting foundation is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a regulated crypto environment, such as NYDFS or BitLicense, is preferred.
