Description

Own the full data science process from business problem definition through deployed model performance for a priority vertical.
Work directly with stakeholders to frame business problems and define modeling objectives.
Build, validate, and deploy models in partnership with ML engineering.
Monitor live model performance and analyze outcomes after deployment.
Focus initially on Insurance and Advertiser Quality, with scope expanding over time.
Develop buying models that support positive ROAS and quality outcomes.
Improve lead quality across brands, funnels, messaging, and content/listicles.
Identify and pursue new modeling opportunities that have not been explicitly flagged by the business.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience in an applied data science role delivering measurable business impact.
Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or the lead generation industry.
Experience building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling (highly desired).
Strong modeling fundamentals with the ability to build models that drive business impact.
Multi-year, hands-on experience building and deploying ML solutions in the AWS cloud.
Hands-on experience with multi-armed bandits or reinforcement learning.
Hands-on experience with recommendation and ranking systems, including content-based, collaborative filtering, and hybrid approaches.
Hands-on experience with funnel and monetization optimization and LTV modeling.
Expert-level Python and SQL skills.
Experience with sophisticated ML in a paid digital media business (nice to have).
Experience with creative embeddings for creatives, videos, headlines, or search (nice to have).
Insurance domain experience (nice to have).
Experience creating state-of-the-art ad ranking algorithms (nice to have).
Experience modeling against ad-platform data from Google, Meta, or native platforms (nice to have).
Experience applying LLMs or deep learning to personalization or content (nice to have).
Familiarity with Looker (nice to have).
