Description

Own the full data science lifecycle from business problem definition to deployed model and live performance analysis.
Work directly with stakeholders to frame business problems and define the right modeling approach.
Build, validate, and document models that drive measurable revenue and media efficiency.
Partner with ML engineering on the deployment last mile while staying engaged through monitoring and performance tuning.
Focus initially on insurance and advertiser quality, with scope broadening over time.
Improve lead quality across brands and funnels, including messaging, content/listicles, and related initiatives.
Identify new modeling opportunities that the business has not already flagged.
Maintain trusted output with low correction burden and clear documentation.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience delivering measurable business impact.
Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or the lead generation industry.
Experience building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling is highly desired.
Strong modeling fundamentals and the ability to build models that drive business impact.
Multi-year, hands-on experience building and deploying ML solutions in the AWS cloud.
Hands-on experience with multi-armed bandit/reinforcement learning, recommendation and ranking systems, funnel and monetization optimization, and LTV modeling.
Expert-level Python and SQL.
Experience in a hands-on, in-the-weeds applied data science role is required.
Experience with sophisticated ML at companies where paid digital media is core to the business model is a plus.
Insurance domain experience is a plus.
Experience creating state-of-the-art ad ranking algorithms is a plus.
Experience modeling against ad-platform data from Google, Meta, or native platforms is a plus.
Experience with LLMs or deep learning applied to personalization or content is a plus.
Familiarity with Looker is a plus.
