Description

  • Own the full data science workflow from business problem definition through deployed model performance and monitoring.
  • Work directly with vertical stakeholders to frame problems around business metrics and outcomes.
  • Build, validate, and document machine learning models for buying, lead quality, and media efficiency.
  • Partner with ML engineering on the final implementation and deployment of models.
  • Stay engaged after deployment to analyze live performance and improve results.
  • Identify and pursue new modeling opportunities that the business has not already flagged.
  • Improve lead quality across brands and funnel/content experiences, including messaging, funnels, and listicles.
  • Drive measurable ROAS impact for the Insurance vertical and broader portfolio over time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on applied data science experience delivering measurable business impact.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or the lead generation industry.
  • Strong modeling fundamentals with the ability to build models that drive business impact.
  • Multi-year hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning solutions in AWS.
  • Expert-level Python and SQL skills.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-armed bandits or reinforcement learning.
  • Experience with recommendation and ranking systems, including content-based, collaborative filtering, or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience with funnel and monetization optimization and LTV modeling.
  • Experience building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling, highly desired.
  • Experience with sophisticated ML at companies where paid digital media is core to the business model, preferred.
  • Experience with creative embeddings for creatives, videos, headlines, or search, preferred.
  • Insurance domain experience, preferred.
  • Experience creating state-of-the-art ad ranking algorithms, preferred.
  • Experience modeling against ad-platform data from Google, Meta, or native channels, preferred.
  • Experience applying LLMs or deep learning to personalization or content, preferred.
  • Familiarity with Looker, preferred.
