Description

  • Design scalable, maintainable, and secure service architectures.
  • Build backend services with C# using functional programming or TypeScript for web and background applications.
  • Design, containerize, and deploy services using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Build and optimize AWS or equivalent cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Improve reliability and scalability through testing, performance profiling, and optimization.
  • Apply security practices across applications and infrastructure, including vulnerability assessments and secrets management.
  • Integrate and monitor third-party APIs and explore AI/ML-driven application features.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver platform solutions.
  • Mentor engineers, share best practices, and help shape engineering standards and platform strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including distributed systems, platform engineering, and architectural decision-making.
  • Proficiency in typed functional programming with Haskell, Scala, C#, or TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; PostgreSQL expertise preferred.
  • Expertise designing secure, scalable, and maintainable system architectures.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Expertise in application and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of testing, automation, reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience managing third-party API integrations and interest or experience applying AI/ML in production systems.
  • Demonstrated mentorship, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills in complex or ambiguous environments.

  • US on-target earnings of $175,000–$250,000 USD.
  • Canada on-target earnings of $170,000–$200,000 CAD.
