Description

  • Maintain and improve the custom Shopify Hydrogen storefront using React and React Router.
  • Build responsive and accessible interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Work with Shopify Storefront API, GraphQL, products, variants, collections, and metafields.
  • Translate business requirements and rough mockups into functional ecommerce experiences.
  • Assess feature feasibility and recommend practical alternatives when platform limitations exist.
  • Troubleshoot storefront, API, browser, Shopify data, and third-party integration issues.
  • Integrate and support Storyblok CMS, Algolia search, analytics, and marketing tools.
  • Implement ecommerce SEO requirements, including redirects, canonical tags, structured data, metadata, and indexability.
  • Improve frontend performance, usability, and maintainability within the existing codebase.
  • Communicate technical constraints and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on professional experience with Shopify Hydrogen, React, React Router, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • 3+ years of experience with the Shopify Storefront API.
  • Professional experience building and maintaining headless ecommerce storefronts.
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL and Shopify ecommerce data structures.
  • Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, and debugging complex frontend issues.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and improve an existing custom codebase.
  • Strong UI/UX judgment and experience translating requirements into responsive, accessible interfaces.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Shopify themes, Storyblok or another headless CMS, and Algolia.
  • Preferred: experience with GA4, Klaviyo, ecommerce SEO, migrations, performance optimization, Git, testing, and deployment workflows.
