Description

  • Support month-end close activities for revenue accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries in accordance with US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance.
  • Reconcile deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and accrued revenue accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve revenue discrepancies, billing issues, and account variances.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting with fluctuation analysis and supporting schedules.
  • Apply ASC 606 guidance to standard and moderately complex customer arrangements.
  • Document revenue recognition conclusions and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, and Legal to review customer contracts for revenue recognition impacts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the revenue close process.
  • Support audit requests by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of revenue accounting experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience with SaaS and/or professional services revenue models.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash processes and revenue systems such as NetSuite; Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
