Description

  • Lead and coach engineers through best practices for solution design and implementation.
  • Support all phases of Agile delivery, including grooming, design, coding, and testing.
  • Break down work into deliverable pieces and help ensure successful delivery of roadmap items.
  • Participate in design sessions and collaborate with product owners to align solutions with business and customer needs.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on technical best practices and new technology adoption.
  • Promote strong coding practices, design patterns, security, automation, and testing standards.
  • Help establish and reinforce engineering standards across coding, design, security, automation, and testing.
  • Drive clarity in technical solutions by reducing ambiguity and focusing on customer value.
  • Contribute to the creation of a respectful, engaging environment that supports learning and team growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading development teams responsible for delivering prioritized roadmap items.
  • Experience designing and developing applications and components using J2EE technologies and SOA architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of front-end technologies and experience delivering vertical slices of value.
  • Deep experience with service-oriented architecture, API development, and containerized deployment environments.
  • Experience with distributed computing and object-oriented design and analysis.
  • Strong relational database skills with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise messaging and integration patterns.
  • Experience building XML/JSON-based web services and working with Java technologies such as JMS, MDB, and JPA (Hibernate).
  • Familiarity with Spring frameworks, testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito, Apache Camel, Apache ActiveMQ, Bamboo/GIT, open-source components, Test Driven Development, and BDD.
  • Experience with high-volume, real-time applications and Agile/Scrum processes.
  • Preferred experience with Spring Core, Boot, Batch, Data, and REST; microservices architecture; GraphQL; GitHub Actions or Hudson; AI/ML-driven tooling; and AWS, EKS, Karpenter, and ArgoCD.
