Description

  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and support production services across the software lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain Payments services within the VGS platform.
  • Maintain and enhance Card Attributes, Webhooks, and the Event Pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize high-throughput, fault-tolerant services.
  • Maintain code quality through rigorous testing, automation, and code reviews.
  • Provide proactive feedback and innovation to improve the product.
  • Work with event-driven and cloud-native services in a production environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues using observability tooling and operational best practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Security.
  • Experience building high-scale, production-ready microservices in a SaaS company.
  • Strong practical experience with Kafka (MSK) or other message brokers and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, microservices, CI/CD tools such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or Argo, GitOps, APIs and API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Python, and AWS services.
  • Experience implementing observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with the payment processing ecosystem, including PCI DSS, tokenization, card networks, and processors, is a plus.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at hire and throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Must currently reside in or be eligible to work in one of the approved states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
