Description

  • Own and drive the roadmap for the Shared Tech platform.
  • Lead prioritization and tradeoffs with engineering and product stakeholders, balancing velocity, reliability, and long-term platform health.
  • Align engineering leads and product teams on platform investments and their importance.
  • Conduct ongoing discovery with internal engineering teams to identify needs, blockers, and gaps.
  • Partner with engineering to define requirements, maintain a prioritized backlog, and track measurable outcomes.
  • Define success metrics and measurement plans for platform initiatives.
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for the internal event bus and ensure it is reliable, documented, and extensible.
  • Own the communications gateway platform and ensure it is scalable, auditable, and supports product team needs.
  • Partner with engineering to scope, sequence, and execute platform modernization initiatives.
  • Work with Security, Compliance, and cross-functional teams to ensure shared services meet regulatory, security, and adoption needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience building and shipping technical, platform, or shared-services products.
  • Strong systems thinking with enough technical fluency to collaborate effectively with engineers and data teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous environments and creating structure and momentum.
  • Experience using data and instrumentation to prioritize work and evaluate platform investments.
  • Strong passion for AI and LLMs, with a point of view on how they can improve platform products and internal workflows.
  • Experience in fintech, lending, or other regulated-industry engineering environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with observability tooling, data infrastructure, or API platform work (preferred).
  • Exposure to developer experience programs, internal developer portals, or platform engineering practices (preferred).
  • Background working with or alongside Security and Compliance in a financial services context (preferred).
  • Location in Richmond, VA, Arlington, VA, or remote within the U.S.

  • Salary range of $137,000-$185,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
