Description

  • Design and implement the Python agent runtime, including orchestration, tool execution, memory, context management, structured outputs, and failure handling.
  • Build and maintain evaluation datasets, automated evaluators, and LangSmith LLM-as-judge pipelines.
  • Analyze agent traces, improve prompts and tool designs, and run model comparisons and benchmarks.
  • Develop Python and Node.js microservices for agent hosting and LLM interactions.
  • Build and maintain Laravel APIs that integrate agents with the Knak platform.
  • Deploy secure, scalable agent infrastructure using AWS Lambda, Bedrock, and CDN services.
  • Optimize MySQL queries and indexing for performance and reduced latency.
  • Lead code reviews and uphold engineering quality standards.
  • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps teams.
  • Mentor engineers on agent development and evaluation practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend software development experience.
  • Production experience building LLM-powered agents, including tool calling, orchestration, context management, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience designing LLM evaluations, including dataset curation, automated evaluators, LLM-as-judge systems, and regression tracking.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, and MySQL.
  • Expertise with RESTful APIs, test-driven development, and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with SaaS architecture, microservices, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of observability, performance tuning, and scalability.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Vue, PHP Laravel, LangGraph, AI-powered products, or fast-growing SaaS companies.
