Description

  • Define and drive Knak’s design vision and UX strategy in alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Explore and guide AI-driven product experiences and lead the design approach for intelligent features.
  • Champion AI adoption in the design process by integrating AI-native tools into day-to-day workflows.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the product design team while fostering creativity, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Oversee design execution across product teams through critiques, reviews, and alignment with design systems and accessibility standards.
  • Partner closely with engineering to establish shared workflows and ensure design intent is reflected in the shipped product.
  • Establish and evolve Knak’s design system to improve speed, scalability, and consistency.
  • Set and maintain a high standard for visual and interaction design across product surfaces.
  • Champion user research and usability testing by incorporating qualitative and quantitative insights into design decisions.
  • Advocate for design across the organization and lead cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and marketing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product design, including 3+ years leading and developing designers.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a track record of growing high-performing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect design decisions to business outcomes and influence product roadmaps.
  • Experience designing enterprise B2B or SaaS products with complex workflows.
  • AI fluency and comfort shaping design approaches for AI-powered features.
  • Experience using AI-native prototyping tools such as Claude Code (preferred), Lovable, Figma Make, or Cursor.
  • Expertise with traditional design tools such as Figma and prototyping workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of UX best practices, accessibility, and modern product development.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual design excellence and attention to detail.
  • Experience establishing user research practices and integrating qualitative and quantitative insights into product decisions.
  • Experience defining design operations, including workflows, tooling, and resource allocation.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and credibility with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to advocate for design without creating friction.
  • Preferred experience building or scaling a design system.
  • Preferred background in marketing technology, email marketing, or creative production tools.
  • Preferred experience with rapid growth or scaling organizations.
