Description

  • Own customer-facing products that help customers understand how they are billed on Klaviyo.
  • Develop reliable approaches to track billions of product usage events accurately.
  • Work with customers and internal stakeholders to build a platform that maximizes value for customers and Klaviyo.
  • Make decisions and own outcomes across infrastructure, application logic, documentation, product changes, and UI.
  • Support billing, subscription, payment, and pricing workflows for new and existing products.
  • Contribute to internationalization and revenue capture for domestic and international markets.
  • Collaborate on product changes related to packaging, pricing, and large customer payment needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Track record of building high-quality products and systems.
  • Strong commitment to writing clean, high-quality code.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, pub/sub systems, and third-party integrations.
  • Some experience developing full-stack products.
  • Experience working on team projects and/or leading projects.
  • Interest in using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully while applying strong engineering judgment.
  • Experience building payment systems or integrating with payment providers is preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on product launches, financial reconciliation, or similar work is preferred.
  • Passion for understanding pricing, presentation, vendor relationships, and other business levers is preferred.
  • Experience talking to customers and understanding their needs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python, Django, React, TypeScript, Pulsar, Celery, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, AWS, or Terraform is not required but is part of the current stack.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $116,000 to $174,000 USD for U.S. locations.
  • Potential participation in the annual cash bonus plan.
  • Possible equity and sign-on payments as part of total compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits, subject to eligibility.
  • Flexible location-based compensation determined by skills, experience, education or training, and work location.
