Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the U.S. People Operations team.
  • Advise leaders and employees on people matters, workforce planning, and HR strategy.
  • Oversee employee relations, including investigations, mediation, conflict resolution, performance matters, and escalations.
  • Lead compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, audits, reporting, and policy updates.
  • Manage union relationships, negotiations, communications, and grievance processes.
  • Oversee benefits governance, vendors, renewals, enrollment, plan communications, and documentation.
  • Direct leave administration and employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through offboarding.
  • Oversee payroll data workflows, HRIS integrity, and payroll and benefits issue resolution.
  • Develop HR metrics and dashboards covering headcount, turnover, leave utilization, and employee relations trends.
  • Maintain HR policies, standard operating procedures, and the Employee Handbook while supporting compensation and budget administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in human resources, organizational psychology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressive HR Operations experience, including benefits administration and employee relations.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Expertise handling complex employee investigations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.
  • Union relationship, negotiation, and grievance experience preferred.
  • Nonprofit or mission-driven organization experience preferred.
  • Fluent English communication and strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently and collaboratively, and operate effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Data-driven approach with experience using analytics to guide workforce decisions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams and Excel.
  • Remote work experience preferred; willingness to travel occasionally required.
