Description

  • Create high-quality environment art with a strong emphasis on lighting, mood, and atmosphere.
  • Build, iterate, and optimize lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.
  • Collaborate with art direction, level design, and tech art to improve spatial readability and performance.
  • Author and maintain lighting passes, post-processing profiles, and environment shaders/materials as needed.
  • Troubleshoot lighting issues related to performance, consistency, and technical constraints across platforms.
  • Contribute to visual benchmarks and help establish best practices for lighting workflows.
  • Work iteratively based on feedback from cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Support environment art development for a high-quality stylized mobile game project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a stylized Environment Artist on high-quality mobile game projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating lighting, composition, and environment art fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with modern game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or proprietary engines.
  • Solid understanding of lighting theory, color, exposure, and real-time rendering.
  • Experience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Experience with lighting tools, profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.
  • Must have relevant working rights for Malaysia or Indonesia.
  • Sponsorship and relocation are not offered for this role.
