Description

Own the architecture and technical direction for key product areas in a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
Build and maintain backend services and APIs, including REST, GraphQL, and gRPC endpoints.
Deliver backend features end-to-end, including data schemas and business logic.
Work with product, design, data, and ML teams to translate business problems into robust technical solutions.
Integrate data, ML, and AI capabilities into real customer workflows.
Design APIs, data contracts, and UX flows that make AI features reliable, understandable, and safe.
Ensure telemetry and feedback loops are in place to measure performance and improve models and outcomes.
Champion operability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and runbooks for owned services.
Improve performance, scalability, and resilience across critical product paths.
Lead technical design reviews, mentor engineers, and help define engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience shipping data/ML/AI-powered SaaS products.
Strong track record of owning and shipping complex, user-facing features end-to-end in collaboration with product management and UX.
Experience as a senior member of the technical staff owning critical production systems.
Strong proficiency with at least one backend stack such as Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Go, Rust, or similar.
Proficiency with Python and data analysis/modeling tools such as pandas or PyTorch.
Solid understanding of data modeling and storage, including relational databases, caching, and basic data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with data/ML/AI concepts, including exposing ML models or LLMs as services and understanding latency, throughput, and guardrails.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, plus containers and infrastructure concepts like networking, scaling, and security.
Strong habits around testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and incremental delivery.
