Description

Design and evolve production-grade, scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure.
Lead adoption of AI-assisted testing and AI-enabled quality engineering practices.
Define and guide test strategy and quality architecture across multiple teams.
Integrate shift-left testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
Own quality metrics and measurement frameworks for coverage, defect leakage, flakiness, and effectiveness.
Define test data strategies, including synthetic data generation and data management.
Influence system design and architecture to improve testability, reliability, and observability.
Enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and quality gates.
Lead efforts to reduce test infrastructure debt and modernize legacy automation systems.
Lead incident analysis and postmortems to identify quality gaps and drive improvements.
Guide teams in selecting appropriate testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
Develop tooling and platform improvements to increase developer productivity and engineering efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to SDETs and engineers.
Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions to uphold testability and quality standards.
Promote a culture of quality across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of experience in software development, test automation, or quality engineering.
Proven track record of defining test strategy and quality architecture across teams.
Strong programming skills and experience building production-grade automated testing frameworks and tools.
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Deep understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience working with distributed systems and understanding of how architecture impacts testability, reliability, and observability.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery workflows.
Experience defining and analyzing quality metrics to drive data-informed decisions.
Ability to lead adoption of AI tooling across test automation and quality analysis workflows.
Proven ability to influence engineers and stakeholders across teams without direct authority.
Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills in complex distributed systems.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams.
Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
Proficiency in one or more of Rust, C#, or JavaScript.
Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
Experience with performance and load testing tools such as k6, Gatling, or JMeter.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for test environment provisioning and scalable test execution.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Bicep.
Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
Experience using observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or Grafana.
Familiarity with relational and non-relational data stores.
Experience with modern security testing practices, including vulnerability scanning and dependency analysis.
Broad knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns.
