Description

  • Grow territory revenue and test volume by acquiring new hospital accounts and expanding existing partnerships.
  • Build, manage, prioritize, and segment hospital and health system accounts.
  • Present the Karius test to clinical and executive stakeholders using consultative selling techniques, from qualification through evaluation and close.
  • Develop thought leaders and early adopters of Karius’s infectious disease diagnostic approach.
  • Establish trusted-advisor relationships, demonstrate account ROI, conduct utilization reviews, and drive sustained adoption.
  • Secure and renew partner contracts and agreements.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Product, and Clinical teams to support account growth and resolve concerns.
  • Provide clinical and market expertise, explain the test’s science and differentiation, and co-present with Medical Affairs teams.
  • Identify regional meetings, KOL panels, and local market activities with Marketing.
  • Maintain Salesforce records, expense reports, speaker program documentation, and other administrative requirements; participate in training, conventions, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years of sales or business development experience in life sciences, biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostic equipment, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated success introducing novel or transformational products or services to physicians and hospitals before broad peer-reviewed publication or guideline inclusion.
  • Established relationships across hospital and health system stakeholders, including microbiology and send-out laboratories, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
  • Track record of achieving or exceeding sales objectives and managing multilevel accounts.
  • Strong territory planning, business acumen, analytical, problem-solving, presentation, negotiation, and discussion-facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and relationships with executives, physicians, and laboratory directors through clinical and industry expertise.
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptable, accountable, and collaborative approach in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% and work primarily remotely in the field.
