Description

  • Coach Vendor Relationship Managers through RFP evaluation frameworks, scoring methodologies, and documentation standards.
  • Design and facilitate vendor lifecycle training for VRMs, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive timely vendor scorecard completion, facilitate performance reviews, and escalate non-compliance.
  • Lead vendor accountability initiatives, including performance improvement plans, contract adherence monitoring, and escalation management.
  • Partner with VRMs on onsite vendor assessments, documenting performance, operational readiness, and contractual adherence.
  • Enable business leaders to fulfill vendor oversight responsibilities using governance tools and frameworks.
  • Monitor adherence to vendor governance policies, controls, and procedures; provide remediation guidance and escalate systemic issues.
  • Produce governance reporting and trend analysis highlighting accountability gaps, emerging risks, and stakeholder performance.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and Risk teams to operationalize controls within the vendor lifecycle.
  • Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement through training, accountability structures, and executive visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in vendor management, business controls, or third-party governance within financial services.
  • Experience in a controls, compliance, or governance-focused role rather than risk assessment or procurement ownership.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold stakeholders accountable to governance standards, scorecards, or performance frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating training, workshops, or business enablement programs.
  • Strong understanding of vendor management lifecycle concepts and third-party governance obligations.
  • Familiarity with OCC, FFIEC, and CFPB regulatory guidance related to third-party governance.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for vendor onsite assessments.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree, vendor governance certification such as CTPS or CRVPM, experience with Zip, ProcessUnity, or Archer, and Six Sigma, Lean, Prosci, audit, compliance advisory, or corporate training experience.

  • Base salary of $89,700–$143,900 plus eligibility for annual incentive compensation of up to 10%.
