Description

  • Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap for the Decisioning & Closing domain.
  • Translate company priorities into product initiatives that strengthen underwriting capabilities and platform scalability.
  • Own measurable business outcomes across growth, approval-to-funding conversion, automation, risk performance, and customer experience.
  • Lead execution from discovery through delivery in partnership with Engineering, Risk, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
  • Use analytics and performance insights to prioritize work, validate outcomes, and refine decisioning logic and automation.
  • Directly lead and develop Product Owners and Business Analysts within the value stream.
  • Elevate standards for discovery, prioritization, documentation, and ownership across the product team.
  • Ensure initiatives are clearly defined, thoughtfully sequenced, and delivered with scalable design and measurable impact.
  • Make trade-offs based on technical constraints, business impact, and KPI alignment.
  • Build a culture of accountability, clarity, and strategic thinking within the team.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years of product management experience with portfolio or multi-product ownership.
  • 3+ years of experience leading product teams.
  • Experience owning end-to-end product strategy in fintech, lending, underwriting, credit, or another regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to translate product strategy into measurable financial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of lending economics, risk-based pricing, and portfolio performance.
  • Comfort owning metrics tied to conversion, automation, and margin impact.
  • Experience working within complex, integrated systems.
  • Ability to understand system constraints, technical dependencies, and architectural trade-offs.
  • Experience influencing platform evolution in partnership with Engineering.
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong prioritization and structured decision-making skills.
  • Comfort using KPIs and performance insights to guide product strategy.
  • Ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous environments.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing product talent.
  • Skilled at balancing collaboration with decisiveness.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset and strong accountability.
  • Consideration given to qualified remote candidates residing in states where Kapitus or a subsidiary has an established physical presence.
