Description

  • Build the Canadian ROPA program largely from the ground up with the client’s privacy engineering team.
  • Lead discovery and requirements-gathering sessions across approximately 10–12 business units.
  • Document systems, processes, and data-handling practices for each business unit.
  • Draft and maintain ROPA entries using established templates and Canada-specific adaptations.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding information across 24+ stakeholders.
  • Communicate independently with senior stakeholders, including VP-level contacts.
  • Report progress, plans, and blockers during daily standups.
  • Maintain leadership visibility through business-facing communications and status updates.
  • Identify scope boundaries for ROPA entries and flag items outside the intended process.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building or maintaining ROPAs in a North American context.
  • Senior analyst- or engineer-level experience in a privacy or GRC program.
  • Direct ownership of ROPA-building work rather than solely serving as a business subject matter expert.
  • Professional experience engaging independently with senior and VP-level stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and granular follow-up across multiple concurrent stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with light oversight while maintaining consistent leadership communication.
  • Familiarity with Quebec Law 25 or similar principle-based privacy regulations such as GDPR is preferred.
  • Experience launching a ROPA or privacy program in a new market or region is preferred.
  • Experience in large, complex, multi-line-of-business organizations is preferred.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience and comfort with defined-duration engagements are preferred.

  • Salary range of $105,000–$135,000, depending on experience and location.
