Description

  • Lead the strategic design, implementation, and optimization of automation, machine learning, and workflow technologies across compliance processes.
  • Oversee on-chain sanctions controls, blocked-property processes, OFAC compliance, and timely Blocked Property Reports.
  • Manage AML and sanctions risk assessments for North American entities, including inherent risk, control effectiveness, and residual risk analysis.
  • Lead regulatory remediation programs and ensure audit and examination findings are tracked and resolved.
  • Direct AML and sanctions due diligence for new token listings and digital assets.
  • Monitor OSINT, media, and industry threat-sharing platforms to identify emerging financial crime risks.
  • Serve as the executive contact for law enforcement and 314(b) information-sharing initiatives.
  • Manage SAR supporting-documentation requests, prepare executive Board Reports, and provide governance updates.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive senior-level experience in sanctions and financial crimes compliance.
  • Experience in crypto exchanges, digital asset fintechs, or complex global financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian sanctions and AML regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience leading AML and sanctions risk assessments and regulatory remediation programs.
  • Expertise in digital assets, blockchain analytics, token-listing due diligence, and on-chain sanctions controls.
  • Experience implementing workflow automation, AI/ML tools, and advanced case-management systems.
  • History of managing inquiries from major banking partners, global regulators, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • CAMS, CGSS, CFE, CCAS, or comparable blockchain compliance certification preferred.
