Description

  • Build quick prototypes and polished feature demos for new product capabilities.
  • Iterate rapidly on experimental ideas and validate assumptions early.
  • Turn promising concepts into practical, shippable solutions.
  • Own projects end to end with minimal oversight.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and surface blockers early.
  • Collaborate within a small, high-ownership team to influence product direction.
  • Apply strong debugging, system design, and problem-solving skills to open-ended challenges.
  • Help expand the product’s total addressable market through new feature experiments.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building features from the ground up.
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
  • Experience taking full ownership of work and driving projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Proactive communication skills and the ability to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Comfort with experimentation, rapid iteration, and solving ambiguous problems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Kalepa’s main stack, or strong experience in another object-oriented language.
  • Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
  • Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with LLMs or generative AI is a bonus.
  • Experience with distributed systems is a bonus.
