Description

  • Build LLM-based backend solutions that process millions of insurance documents at scale.
  • Extract precise information from insurance documents and synthesize it into a complete view of the insured.
  • Work at the intersection of AI and backend engineering on core R&D problems.
  • Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, including surfacing blockers and keeping others informed.
  • Test ideas, measure results, and iterate quickly on unsolved technical problems.
  • Contribute individual work with outsized impact on the product and business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep Python expertise.
  • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
  • Experience working with LLMs in production and deploying them at scale.
  • Fluency with coding agents and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Experience with AWS and serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2.
  • Experience with asynchronous workflows and cloud environments.
  • Comfort working with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to take full ownership of work and operate with minimal oversight.
  • Comfort with experimentation, rapid iteration, and solving novel problems.
  • Excitement for R&D work and tackling difficult, unsolved challenges.
