Description

  • Serve as the principal technical authority for enterprise networking and define long-term network architecture and strategy aligned with business and security objectives.
  • Architect, design, and govern large-scale, highly available, and secure network environments across data centers, cloud, hybrid environments, and global WANs.
  • Own network reference architectures, standards, and design patterns to ensure scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational consistency.
  • Lead the design and execution of major network initiatives including data center modernization, cloud networking transformations, SD-WAN deployments, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Evaluate network technologies, service providers, and vendors and make recommendations on adoption, optimization, and deprecation.
  • Mentor senior and staff-level network engineers and help raise the technical bar across the organization.
  • Set technical direction for how networks are designed, secured, and operated to keep pace with rapid hardware iteration and mission-critical timelines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in network architecture, network design, network implementation, and network test automation.
  • Strong foundation in IT network and systems methodology, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience with logical design models including L2/L3, VPC, VDC, datacenter zones, spanning tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, and cabling.
  • Working technical knowledge of network control protocols and management protocols, including QoS, PfR, PoE, NTP, DHCP, CDP, FTP, TFTP, and SNMP.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or ITIL Foundations v3.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or engineering is preferred.
  • Technical certifications such as Network+, MCSE, or Security+ are preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license due to ITAR requirements.
