Description

  • Contribute 40-60% of the time to production coding, code reviews, architectural design, and debugging.
  • Maintain and improve the C# .NET and Angular codebase with minimal ramp-up.
  • Drive engineering practices, processes, and tooling with an emphasis on quality, security, DevOps, and test automation.
  • Lead prioritization and delivery planning to ensure predictable execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to communicate progress, dependencies, technical considerations, and risks.
  • Improve scrum team efficiency by balancing technical work with feature delivery.
  • Coach and mentor engineers through 1-on-1s, growth opportunities, and feedback.
  • Build team culture based on trust, transparency, and zero-ego leadership.
  • Influence hiring, team composition, resource needs, and organizational design as the company scales.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge to guide the team on customer needs, tax workflows, and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • 4+ years leading teams in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Current, active experience writing production code and contributing to a C# .NET / Angular codebase.
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and modern software architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise application development using n-tier architectures and cloud-native patterns.
  • Proficiency with C# .NET (Core and Framework) and Angular, or relevant experience in other modern languages and stacks.
  • Experience building and supporting SaaS solutions on cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation, Git, and work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and advocate for your team.
  • Track record of developing others through structured growth opportunities.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • Security-first mindset in engineering decisions.
  • Experience modernizing a tech stack while maintaining continuous feature delivery (preferred).
  • Strong communication, empathy, humility, initiative, adaptability, and growth mindset (preferred).
