Description

  • Develop and maintain full-stack PHP/WordPress solutions using the Roots ecosystem, including Bedrock, Acorn, and Sage.
  • Build and support custom plugins and themes.
  • Develop and maintain ACF Gutenberg Blocks.
  • Implement pixel-perfect, responsive layouts using Blade, SCSS, and JavaScript.
  • Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
  • Optimize frontend and backend performance.
  • Work with WordPress Multisite environments.
  • Implement and maintain scheduled tasks, cron jobs, and background processes.
  • Develop custom WP-CLI commands for maintenance, automation, and internal tooling.
  • Apply clean architecture principles and reusable code practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a PHP Engineer.
  • Experience with WordPress, MySQL, and Laravel.
  • Experience developing custom plugins and themes from scratch.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress core, including actions and filters.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Confident use of Git in a team environment.
  • Experience with ACF Composer and ACF Gutenberg Blocks.
  • Experience with WordPress Multisite and WPML for multilingual setups.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6, HTML, and SCSS, with a focus on semantic and maintainable code.
  • Experience developing REST API endpoints and integrating third-party APIs.
  • Knowledge of caching mechanisms.
  • Experience with Composer for dependency management.
  • Nice to have: Writing unit tests.
  • Nice to have: Profiling and tracing with Xdebug.
  • Nice to have: Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Nice to have: Experience with AI integrations.
  • Nice to have: Experience with PHPStan and code quality tools.
