Description

  • Define and own the end-to-end automated test strategy across web portals and backend microservices.
  • Design testing approaches for distributed, event-driven systems using asynchronous messaging patterns such as SNS/SQS.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web and API testing using Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Automate API and service-level tests to validate functionality, performance, and resilience.
  • Build reusable framework components such as page objects, fixtures, data builders, and test harnesses.
  • Design and run tests for services deployed on ECS, EKS, and Lambda, including environment provisioning and teardown.
  • Drive performance, load, resilience, and other non-functional testing efforts for scalable services.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability, speed, parallelization, and observability.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate test authoring, debugging, and test maintenance.
  • Collaborate with developers, product, and DevOps teams, review code, mentor QA engineers, and influence architecture decisions to improve testability.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium for web automation.
  • Proven experience testing microservices and API-based systems.
  • Experience with async or event-driven architectures such as SNS/SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience testing cloud-native applications on AWS, including ECS, EKS, and Lambda.
  • Familiarity with containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, pipeline integration, and quality gates.
  • Experience with performance, load, and non-functional testing.
  • Experience with API automation tools such as Postman or REST-assured and a strong understanding of REST APIs.
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience using LLM or AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
  • Preferred: contract testing experience with Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
  • Preferred: familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana.
  • Preferred: experience in identity verification, KYC/AML, or other security- and compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Preferred: experience building or testing LLM/AI-powered features or integrating AI into test automation and CI/CD workflows.
